

Meet the Staff

Tom Mansmann is a fourth generation horseman with 31 years of competition, training, and coaching experience. His grandmother was an accomplished horsewoman as well as the Master of Foxhounds in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania for the Westmoreland foxhunt. He currently hunts as a professional in Virginia with the Old Dominion, Thornton Hill, and Orange County hunts.
Tom has also professionally competed through the Advanced level of Three Day Eventing along the Eastern shore-board as well as the West Coast. In
1992 he was a member of the gold medal team at the North American Young Rider Championships. He trained for four years with three time Olympic Dressage rider, Jessica Ransehousen, and for eight years with Olympian and World Champion Three Day Event rider, Wash Bishop. Tom has owned and operated Pacific Farms since 2000.
**Both Tom and Clare are certified in First Aid and Adult, Child, and Infant CPR by the American Red Cross.

Clare Mansmann began riding at the age of 6 in Newport Beach, CA. She began her eventing career a few years later outside of Dallas, TX before moving to the Middleburg area. She has trained extensively with Olympians Mike Huber, Karen and David O'Connor, and James Wofford. Clare competed in the 1999 North American Young Rider Championships, and successfully
completed the Radnor Hunt CCI ** and the Foxhall Cup CCI *** in subsequent years. She also trained and exercised racehorses for three years with LFC Stables before joining Pacific Farms in 2002.
